Top tips from our expert Moving Company Bangkok team:

What is the average cost of an international move to Thailand?

A typical 3-bedroom household (around 25-30 CBM) usually ranges between EUR 6,500 and EUR 11,500 when relocating to Thailand. However, your final quote depends on:

  • The country of origin
  • Total volume
  • Choice of transport (sea or air)
  • Access at both addresses
  • Packing and destination services required

“A pre-move survey is the best way to obtain an accurate quote, and we strongly recommend it for all international moves. We can do this in person with one of our local surveyors, or virtually, no matter where you are in the world!” Frederic Constant

When is the best time of year to relocate to Thailand?

We can support your move at any time during the year, however it’s important to note these key dates in the calendar for Thailand. These may affect your move and you may experience delays to your shipment.

  • Songkran (10–15 April): most government offices and customs close
  • Loy Krathong (November): increased port congestion

“Our peak season runs from May to August, which does limit freight space, resulting in higher rates and potential delays. Plus, you may experience some access issues during our rainy season between May and October in certain provinces.

It’s always worth speaking with one of the team to make sure your shipment arrives on time and we’ve covered all eventualities.”
